Dirty Finger in Green – Friction Folder

Finally this small project has been finished. Here the batch

Sometimes the project starts in some way and finish in another way with surprising results.
This friction folder has been made for one of my military friend. A small companion without frills but very useable.
O2 steel, 3mm thick, 5cm blade (2″), blackened with ferric and protected with Protec Tool Wax.
Handles in Olive Green G10, inox hardware, Teflon washers.
Sharp as razor.
12cm (5″) overall.

Big Finger #01 Friction Folder

From a specifical request of one big friction folder.
Sturdy reliable. Very usable at least.
Big Finger #01

O2 steel, 3,5mm thick, high satin finish and waxed with ProTech Wax. 10,5cm (approx 4″ blade) hardened to approx 58 HRC.
Red G10,inox liners and hardware. Length about 13,5 ccm (5″ approx).

Dirty Finger #01

After some time here it is the first Dirty Finger from the Dirty Fingers project.
It is a small friction folder, in Red mycarta. Blade is 1095 carbon steel with a nice hamon, stainless teel hardware.
Blade is 5cm(2″) sharp, handle is 7,5cm (3″).

Small compact, yet very strong and an excellent cutter.

Dirty Finger Project

I’m trying to make a new series of folders that can be used as EDC and so small that can fit in a pocket. Friction folders, small, everyone in the world can use it legally.

I called them Dirty Fingers. Small, but made with excellent carbon steels or fine stainless steels.
Small one but very sharp and usables. Not for tough work, but for long cutting.

This is one raw blade preview, note the golden finish on this 1095 small blade.

Small Tank Friction Folder

Hello guys hope you will like my latest effort.
I was thinking in something compact yet strong and affordable.
Maybe it is a bit heavy for a folder but it is a good mate.

This knife has been made without any use of grinder…(i’m waiting Aly for it’s great grinder) only files and sandpaper!

Blade is 8cm (6,8cm sharp) 6,7mm thick W1 taken from an old file.
Mirror finished and rounded allover.
17cm overall, opened: Sporting a bottle opener so this knife is ready to cut a steak and open a beer in the same time.

Handle scales are in Black G10. Stainless steel pivots, teflon washers, G10 spacer.

Small Pearl

From a scrap piece of O2 carbon steel and some my handmade ivory paper micarta.
This is the result:

It’s a tiny 5cm razor sharp, 12cm overall friction folder that I made for me in one day. And I really really love it.
