Small Kiridashis

Here some small kiridashis. It is one of the my very favourite shapes in blades since it’s knife at its maximum expression, they’re so useful in multiple tasks. And since they are made of 1095 carbon steel they cut and cut flawlessy. They are maybe made by scrap of steels but this doesn’t matter that I make them with any love and passion as possible.

I use them most of time as pencil and pastel sharpeners, as wood scrapers, as metal scribers, as openers of various things. I love them. Since they have up to 1″ (2,5cm) chisel ground blade, small and powerful enough.

M-Tank Friction Folder

The history of this knife is strange. It should be my personal knife, but I decided later to not keep with me this jewel. It is sturdy, compact and powerful like a medium tank. I really love this friction folder.

Blade is an excellent 5mm (.196″) 1095 carbon steel sporting a gorgeous hamon or temper line. It is scary sharp, pop off hairs with ease. Still is strong with his high sabre ground. Handles are in Jade G1o, with Orange G10 backspacer and stainless steel pivots and pins.

Size is 7,6cm blade (3″), handles are 10cm (3.93″).

Will come out with a jeans sheat as my usual.

New fixed knives are coming 23/11/2010

This is the picture of whats boiling in the pan.
It’s time to do also some fixed knives too.

Those will be some mini-bowies in 1095 carbon steel and a nice hamon.
Pluse they will sport higly figured wooden handles, steel and brass guard and more.

One of these two knives will be sent to USA for a Knife Exchange. So it will be a knife challenge!

Orange T Friction Folder

This is an orange pointy sharp as hell thingy.

The blade is 6cm (2.36″) long, 5mm(0.20″) thick 1095 carbon steel. A gorgeous hamon and a deep acid black.
Handles are in hunter orange G10.

Work In Progress – Friction Folders Coming Soon #4

This is the last update about this batch of nextcoming friction folders.
So, if you read previously the other posts you see that some blades are missing.
Okay, you will see completed. And some will be available, maybe!

There are two new carbon friction folders with a popping out gorgeous hamon. Not yed completely finished, the do need the final polishing.

And another sample of small companion in a high polished satin (not yet fully mirrored, no need) in O2 carbon steel

New Fixed Blades Are Coming

Some old and new projects are coming soon. In various steels, all are made for performance in cutting with an high grade in beautiness in mind using the finest woods on the market, luthiery grade woods.

Two nessmucks with gorgeous handles and a nice two utilities.

Amboina Burl Utility

A small utility fixed blade made some time ago in Stabilized Amboina Burl, 1095 with a nice hamon popping up.
Brass lanyard hole and pins.
Very useful in light tasks or where a cutting power is needed.
It sports a 6cm (2,2″) balde and 7,5cm(3″) handle. Very compact yet very sharp.

I used this a lot for cutting the leather, and it cuts also stiff leather as butter.

Dirty Finger Project

I’m trying to make a new series of folders that can be used as EDC and so small that can fit in a pocket. Friction folders, small, everyone in the world can use it legally.

I called them Dirty Fingers. Small, but made with excellent carbon steels or fine stainless steels.
Small one but very sharp and usables. Not for tough work, but for long cutting.

This is one raw blade preview, note the golden finish on this 1095 small blade.
