Maybe because thay are something rusty, they was grinded without any scratch or design “on the fly” and looks something like ugly, maybe because they survived from several experiments (heat treating experiment, bevelling experiments, sharpening experiments, finish and protecting oil and waxing experiments…) and they still cut as new.

Far to be perfect and professional,  a skilled eye will recognize what I mean.They are made from a very good and old file steel, W1. And they cut, and that’s okay.

12cm (4.) overall, 5cm (2″)  edge.

I think that soon I will made others since are small but yet strong and affordable cutting tools.

This knife has been made without any use of grinder…(i’m waiting Aly for it’s great grinder) only files and sandpaper!

Blade is 8cm (6,8cm sharp) 6,7mm thick W1 taken from an old file.
Mirror finished and rounded allover.
17cm overall, opened: Sporting a bottle opener so this knife is ready to cut a steak and open a beer in the same time.

Handle scales are in Black G10. Stainless steel pivots, teflon washers, G10 spacer.

It took me quite a long time but it is a lovely piece.
