Well today is one of the day when outside is hot like a phone dryer the sun is roasting and the office is just too okay to leave it. So I throw the donkey and all the keys of my car on my desktop and I started sketching.
I have to say that I was really inspired, it happens a very often when I sketch something or someone I love. Yes it’s an easy task.
During these days I’m using a lot the Noodlers 54th Massachussets. Perfectly waterproof on Fabriano Venezia paper is also very pleasant to the eye going to different shades of dark grey and dark greens.
Plus all the sketches made recently are made using my Aurora fountain pen what a fine nib. The nib is equivalent to Lamy EF NIB.
Have I ever wrote that I love the oriughness of Fabriano Venezia paper?
These relaxing moments.
#worldwatercolormonth day 3
It does not happen so much time but when it happens it’s a miracle. We are at the beach at the babies are sleeping. So we took the chance to sketch draw listen music and even write. And she’s my wife.
So now the little friends of our babies are coming for play. Yes we’re on the beach and the peace is over…
We were finally relaxing at the beach and the water is crystal clear. We were on the beach and my friend Fabio went out for some good snorkeling. He found this great and big sea shell. All of us were astonished, stunned. Admiring such piece of perfection as made by Mother Nature. The spiral made perfect like a fractal algorithm thought from a gifted scientist.
So Fabio found this great piece and I asked him to save for later sketching. Now babies are sleeping, I sketched, I posted and I’m very happy.
A Straight Razor.
Starting the #WorldWatercolorMonth with a straight razor. For this month I will use a Fabriano Venezia Sketchbook, my wife’s favorite. Still a wonderful sketchbook indeed
Yes probabaly seems strange to sketch a straight razor as for start but in my opinion everything is worth to be sketched and this one also has a meaning.
I’m also a strong advocate of wetshaving and so its natural to feel at home when sketching this very old piece of s=good steel. In these days where everything is disposable, often disposable where it’s not really necessary, I love to discover and rediscover these kind of things.
Wetshaving is culture. Yes it’s like talking about drinking coke or a good wine. Unless someone has alcohol intolerance talking about wine is moreninteresting and healthy.
Technically speaking today I used a tool that I was not using since a loving time. My Aurora fountain pen loaded with Platinum Carbon Ink. The Fabriano Paper is a perfect match with it and so also the watercolor loved the rough texture of this page. Yes, now I remember why it’s a world favorite.
Drop cartridges go for wetshaving. It’s good for you, for your wallet and for the environment too
